The Pacific Review: Detailed Guidelines for Submssions

Deadline: December 13, 2008

Submit:

One prose piece, fiction, personal essay, memoir, or one act play (academic essays are not accepted and will not be reviewed), up to 5,000 words, double spaced.

Or

Five poems, up to ten pages total.

Please include a brief biographical statement, written in third person, with your work, and indicate if you are a CSUSB student. Include email address on each page as it will expedite our response. Send a recyclable copy of your manuscript as submissions will not be returned. Also include a stamped, self-addressed envelope for the editors' response. Work submitted simultaneously to other publications is accepted as long as we are notified immediately of its acceptance elsewhere. We do not publish previously published work. Submissions will be read only between June and December. All work received after the deadline will be recycled.

Art Submissions

We also accept art submissions. Art work must be drawings, photographs, prints art or photographs of larger works of art. Please do not send originals, only copies, as we are not responsible for any damage, loss or misplaced art .

Acceptances will receive two copies of the journal.


The Pacific Review (ISSN 1043-5050) is published in the Spring by the Department of English at CSU San Bernardino. This publication is made possible by funds from Instructionally Related Programs and the support of our readers. Sample copies are available for $5.00 (postage included). All rights revert to the authors and artists upon publication in The Pacific Review unless otherwise stated in writing. We reserve the right to reprint all work in subsequent issues. The Pacific Review is indexed by the American Periodical Verse and the MLA International Bibliography.
