M.A. in English Composition Listserv: engma@csusb.edu

A listserv, engma@csusb.edu, has been established for the program, and we strongly encourage all students to subscribe. This listserv will be used for important announcements about program policies and deadlines and other information of general interest. Instructions on how to subscribe to the listserv follow. You will need to know your CSUSB e-mail account name and password; instructions on how to find that information if you don't know it will appear when you click the "delegated administrator" link below. If you have problems subscribing to the listserv, contact Dr. Rhodes.

Note: ENGMA is an "announcements only" list and posting to the list is restricted; for individual questions, please contact the appropriate coordinator.

Using “Delegated Administrator” to manage your CSUSB e-mail account

"Delegated Administrator" is a web-based account management system. You can use it to update your personal information, change your password, forward your e-mail, set vacation, manage your list serve, subscribe or unsubscribe from listservs, and set mail filters. To log in to the delegated administrator open Internet Explorer or Netscape and go to:

http://mail.csusb.edu:1080/nda/default/en/login.htm

NOTICE: Netscape 6 and later has a feature that may prevent you from visiting the Delegated Administrator web site. If your web browser complains that access to port has been disabled for security reasons, try using Internet Explorer. For more information read the Release Notes for your Netscape browser version.

How do I subscribe to a list?

  1. Click on "My Mail Lists".
  2. Click on the radio button next to Unsubscribed.
  3. Type the list name (engma) in the "Mail List Name" text box and click the "Search" button.
  4. When the list shows up in the list click on the "Subscribe" button.
  5. This will open another window to confirm the list subscription. Click the "Subscribe" button.
  6. Now it will tell you that it is about to modify the mail list. Click the "OK" button.

How do I remove myself from a list?

  1. Click on "My Mail Lists".
  2. Click on the radio button next to Subscribed.
  3. Type the list name (engma) in the "Mail List Name" text box and click the "Search" button.
  4. When the list shows up click on the "Unsubscribe" button.
  5. This will open another window to confirm the list subscription. Click the "Unsubscribe" button.
  6. Now it will tell you that it is about to modify the mail list. Click the "OK" button.

How do I forward my CSUSB e-mail to another e-mail address? (Use these instructions if you want your e-mail from the list to go to another e-mail address, e.g., your hotmail, AOL, verizon account, etc.)

  1. Click on "Mail Delivery Options".
  2. If you do not want to keep a copy of the messages locally remove the checkmark next to "POP3/IMAP4 Mailbox".
  3. Put a checkmark next to "Enable forwarding".
  4. Type in the address you want to forward to (for example, susiecoyote@hotmail.com). If you have multiple addresses separate them by a new line.
  5. Click the "Save" button.
  6. The system will tell you it is about to modify your entry. Click the "Continue" button.
