If TESL concentration students have already completed ENG 523 and ENG 524 with a grade of C or better for their B.A. degree, they must take 8 units of graduate English electives in lieu of ENG 523 and ENG 524 in the M.A. program.

ENG 515 (Senior Seminar) is an undergraduate course, but can be taken for graduate elective credit with the approval of the Graduate Coordinator if the student contracts with the instructor to undertake additional work. Check the Schedule of Classes for ENG 515 listings.

The following courses are offered every quarter with meeting times or other requirements individually arranged: ENG 662, 663, 664 (Internship courses); ENG 696B, C, D & E (Graduate Independent Study); ENG 697 (Thesis and Comp Exam Ind Study Prep) ENG 698 (Continuous Enrollment), Eng 699A (Thesis) and Eng 699B (Thesis & Research). These courses require permission to enroll. ENG 999 (Comprehensive Examination) is offered in FALL and SPRING. Please consult the coordinator of your concentration about enrollment in ENG 999.
